1930s front path

We have a 1930s house - standard round bay window with painted pebbledash. We're having the front door and side windows replaced with beautiful art deco style stained glass (roughly in keeping with what would have been there originally).
We really want to do up the front garden now that we're improving the exterior, and I would love a tiled path, but I think this is probably not the right kind of path for the era as my searches only throw up victorian tiling?
Can anyone shed any light on what a traditional 1930s front path would have been like? Some of the houses I can see have quarry stile tiling in the front porch, but none of them seem to have the original path, and google isn't helping me at all!
Is there any kind of tiled path that won't look completely out of place with the 1930s exterior?

If you want something specifically weed resistant then resin is probably your best bet.

You could look at edged resin. Matching the bricks to your house bricks and a simple resin path.

Not too modern and not too kitsch.

Pathclear, a couple of times a year, kills weeds and leaves a thin film on the surface to prevent seeds germinating. If you disturb the surface by hoeing or pulling up, you break this film and they will grow again. It does not wash away in rain so will not poison your flowerbeds.

We also have an original path and driveway of what can only be described as public pavement large slabs which look like they were supplied by the council, we have the same in our back garden. It looks like it was a job lot from the council and they are very heavy, house built in 1937

Turns out I won’t be restoring it to its original “glory” then 😂
I had a guy round to take a look today and he had some good ideas so we’ll see how they turn out.

My aunt has a 1930s house. The original path is concrete.

She has masses of period features as she does very little to the place.

It's going to be a mixed blessing for whoever buys it from her.
