Isn't it a Health and Safety issue?

What if they knock on the door and want to come in for tea? They'd eat all my cake and drink all the beer!
Not sure if I could live with the risk.

LeroyJenkinssss · 12/11/2020 22:54

My word that is a beautiful beautiful house and the tigers are just brilliant. Only downside is that I wouldn’t be able to get my dad to come indoors ever as he’d be camped out there with his camera.

onIRNBRU · 12/11/2020 22:54

Wow what a beautiful house! But yes the tigers will be a concern for me as it's known that animals do escape sometimes...

pessimistiquerealistique · 12/11/2020 22:56

I'd hate to live next door to the tiger/lion enclosure. On a few occasions when I had to see tigers or lions at the zoo I didn't like the experience as the animals looked very stressed out and it's understandable as most of the enclosures aren't big enough for their size. Your dog has a lot more space to run around than these big cats.

The house, however, is just beautiful!

HungryForSnacks · 12/11/2020 23:11

@slothtrot

I hope the house has a large water tank.
😂😂
Bluntness100 · 13/11/2020 05:33

@WhereOnEarthDoIStart

Really? It's not unheard-of that they get out.
When is the last time a tiger escaped captivity into public domain in a Uk zoo?
MinesAPintOfTea · 13/11/2020 06:15

I couldn't decide if the reason sleeping wouldn't be safe was due to the tigers or the iron chandelier.

OhWifey · 13/11/2020 06:55

I'd probably wonder about the potential noise more than the potential for escape. Early morning roarS? I know nothing about tigers. Would they roar?

Porridgeoat · 13/11/2020 07:02

I’d be too tempted to give it scraps of roast chicken

scrivette · 13/11/2020 07:18

It's a really lovely place to visit, I think they had snow leopards there last time I went (many years ago)

I would love to live there.

Mousepad20 · 13/11/2020 08:44

I don't think I'd object to the tigers being there, but they do growl don't they? I think that would put me off.

Thrigby is a great zoo though.

Bumble84 · 13/11/2020 08:57

I think I’d spend too much time feeling sorry for them. I hate zoos generally for the bigger animals at least. Wildlife parks are slightly better right enough.

CorianderBlues · 13/11/2020 11:58

"Beware of the Tigers"

I'd love it.

MoirasRoses · 13/11/2020 11:58

Oh wow. I’d love that! An old flat of mind was next to a little conservation centre and I could watch wallabies & a red panda from my balcony 🥰

ActualStork223 · 13/11/2020 12:00

If I win lotto this weekend I'm there!

peach1234 · 13/11/2020 13:45

Amazing! Would love to be able to see tigers everyday! But...are they noisy? My neighbours German Shepard 2 doors down does my head in barking so could imagine tigers at the back of your house would be louder??

Officebox · 13/11/2020 13:48

@slothtrot

It's probably unlikely to get burgled.
Halloween Grin

Brilliant!

FAQs · 13/11/2020 13:52

That is cool! I wonder if the garden is big enough to set up Pods for Airbnb .. unique feature.

MrsEricBana · 13/11/2020 13:52

My dog say "No bluddy way"

LemonBreeland · 13/11/2020 13:52

Wow, what a gorgeous house. I agree with a pp that the thatch would put me off. I love the wooden latches on the internal doors though.

If my kids saw this they'd be desperate to move in.

FAQs · 13/11/2020 13:56

The animal enclosures look tiny though for what they need, I’m suddenly not so sure.

mrshonda · 13/11/2020 14:20

The cottage is lovely, and the animals being next door wouldn't bother me at all.

Betty94 · 13/11/2020 14:21

I would literally just buy that house for the tigers

Pepperwand · 13/11/2020 16:49

*slothtrot

I hope the house has a large water tank.*

That took me far too long. Grin

I personally wouldn't, but I'm a worrier and don't need more to keep me up at night!

BruceAndNosh · 13/11/2020 16:52

Sounds better than a lot of neighbours MNers have.
At least tigers don't park over your drive, have noisy parties and kids that scream on trampolines
