Moving day question

It is a looooong time since I last moved house and we expect to be on the move in the next month or so.
Usually I would have a freezer heaving with food over the Christmas period- do they move freezers with food in them?
Or do I need to eat very quickly?
I can't find info I can trust online, so over to you!

Interesting question, one for removal company I guess. I’ve never thought about it and always taken the frozen food out and defrosted. What happens if the door opens or it starts to defrost and water leaks/ all your food is ruined?
I wouldn’t risk it and eat your way through before you move Grin.

Yes they do. Much simpler to leave the food in, make it the last thing put into van and first thing off and plugged back in again :)

@Magstermay to be in the safe side, I will be sure to finish off any gateau, ice cream, or items if deliciousness.
The frozen veg can take its chancesGrin

@Loofah01 thank you! That's great to know and makes life a lot easier!

With our last move in the summer we have it all easy because it would defrost. This time I'm making sure there is hardly anything left

We just eat it all or borrowed freezer space in my parents house/give to friends.
