Boiler tripping electric...?

My DM had a new boiler put in less than five years ago (can't remember when), never had any problems with it.

Recently when she's turned it on, it's tripped the electric Confused It's happened twice now. It doesn't happen every time, but it is definitely the boiler that's tripping it. It goes back on no problem and the boiler then works fine. She doesn't have a thermostat so just turns it on as needed.

Any idea what this could be? Friends have told her she needs an electrician rather than a plumber, I of course am worried this has the potential to be quite dangerous, but I'm way out of my depth.

A proper boiler repair man should be able to diagnose this, are you certain its always the boiler?
just unplug the toaster and empty the currents and crumbs out of it as this can cause nuisance tripping.

Thanks, it's 100% the boiler as it trips immediately on turning it on. Good tip about the toaster, but she's super tidy and keeps it in the cupboard rather than plugged in on the worktop all the time Grin

Seems as likely to be the pump rather than the boiler. Heating engineer or electrician, not plumber (though they will pass you along to the right person anyway).

Yes I guess so. I'm really confused about how a gas boiler can trip the electric though. Presumably a leak in the pump or something?
