Help buyers giving us ultimatum

So our buyers sold their property before 1st lockdown they then completed end of August and their buyer have let them stay in but now only until 20th November we are ready but our vendors onward purchase is still awaiting a couple of enquiries any ideas what we can do

@Spickle but I think sadly that’s the gamble most sellers have to make. Of course it’s not ideal, but essentially it comes down to what the seller values more, a guaranteed buyer (which in this climate is probably something you want to hold onto) or their own security, but at the risk of the whole chain falling apart and potentially losing your onward purchase.

@PointyMcguire I agree with what you say. Ultimately, we are a bunch of people on the internet giving advice but the OP has to make a decision on the best option for them. I believe the OP has posted the same question on Money Saving Expert with much the same advice, so really there is not much else to add.
