I will confess that I do not like plastic doors, which are weaker and less secure than good wooden ones, and far uglier.
If it opens onto a covered area, a wooden door will last well.
Exposed to the weather, paint lasts longer than stain, which lasts longer than varnish.
this is a 2XGG door, meaning it has two panels, both glazed. The mid rail strengthens it. You will need a new frame as well. For best durability, paint before fixing, especially the surfaces that will be inaccessible later. Doors of this design are widely available.
I would go for laminated glass units, which are more expensive than the common toughened, but more resistant to burglars.
You can fit a BS3621 mortice lock to it, though you may need a Narrow Style case. You should have mortice rack bolts top and bottom.
