Landlords - do you have induction hobs or ceramic hobs in rental properties?

Hello,
I'm not a landlord yet, but am thinking of letting my property for a while and I have to replace my cracked electric ceramic hob with a new one.

As landlords do you prefer induction or ceramic for electric cookers in your rented properties?

I was thinking about upgrading to induction but read that they pose a risk to anyone who has a pacemaker or who uses a diabetic pump.

Has this ever been an issue for you? Even if I specified no tenants with pacemakers/ diabetic pump, tenants could have visitors round who are affected, and it seems that few people are aware of the risk.

I am thinking of just replacing with another ceramic hob for this reason but would be interested to hear of landlords' - and tenants' - experiences.

My DS uses an insulin pump and very occasionally we have stayed in holiday accommodation with an induction hob which he needs to stay away from. Obviously as he's not the main adult it's not been too much of a problem but we wouldn't rent somewhere long term with an induction hob. I wouldn't necessarily think it was discriminatory to put in an induction hob, and only a very small proportion of adults (even those with type one diabetes) use pumps, but it is probably safer and better to go with a ceramic one as you have decided.
