Mouldy Shower Tiles

I inherited a wet room with little tiles on the shower floor and spend forever scrubbing at the grout in between the damn things as it constantly goes mouldy. Has anyone got any tips? I spray with bleach and water occasionally but it isn't very good to breath in. I spend four times the amount of time cleaning it as I did on my old bathroom and it still never looks as clean and shiny.

bleach is the best way of getting rid of mould, i have a tiled floor what i do is soak spray it with bleach and water open the window and shut the door for an hour then go in with a bucket of hot plain water and an old fashioned cotton mop soak the floor with plain water and then mop the excess water up and it needs doing every week as its a wet room occasionally allows the mould to come back and build up again

Cillit Bang mould & mildew spray (purple & black bottle) is excellent - does what it says on the tin!

I use the pink stuff paste on my grout leave it for 30 min then scrub with toothbrush.

I mix bleach with bicarb to make a paste and apply it to the grout with a toothbrush and leave for 30 mins or so before brushing off

Would it best having the grout scraped out and fresh put in ? If the spores are deep in the grout it could be hard to keep clean?

And is the room damper than your old bathroom ?

I would try applying a 'grout sealer'

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm going to give them a try.

It is damper than the old bathroom. The old one had a bath and didn't have the shower tiles. I miss it as it was so easy to clean.

HG mould spray will make it disappear, it is really strong stuff though so make sure to ventilate the area well when using it.

Astonish mould and Mildew spray every time you clean the bathroom (don't wait for the mould to build up) and try and dry the tiles a bit after each shower either with a squeegee or a cloth

Have found Detmold Mould & Mildew remover (green bottle) to be incredible stuff

I thought I'd update this in case it helps anyone else. After trying several things, I've found that the key is to dry it off after showers as if it is dry like @BigRedBoat suggested, the mould doesn't grow. I use one of those shower screen squeegees to get the excess water off the wall tiles, shower screen and floor and then wipe them completely dry with cloths. I'm still cursing the amount of work it takes, it is mould free without any bleach and that's a great result.

The Pink Stuff was great for random marks around the house.
