Gazumped on a property...would you ever trust that vendor again?

We were gazumped on a house over the summer. It came back on and we offered our original offer which was rejected. Vendor had been adament they want a certain price for over 7 months. Finally the price has been reduced now. Would you ever trust them though? We met him at one of the viewings and he was very rude to me. Not good vibes at all. We would be turning down a solid house with not as much potential for this one. Not sure whether to try for a third time.

No chance I would not waste my time or my money making another offer.
You've already had a warning as such that this bloke isn't reliable or nice I would count your lucky stars you had it early on and leave it xxx

Sorry didn't mean to add the xxx 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes I would offer them the current asking price now and buy it. How much do you really have to deal directly with the vendors once the sale is going through anyway? If you love the house and haven't found anything better then it's worth trying. He could have been desperate for that amount for a particular reason, you never know.

Offer 90% of current price. Keep looking. Treat him with the same contempt as he showed to you.
