I agree sleepwhenidie. Cheam may be Greater London but it's in the country as far as I'm concerned! I drive through North Cheam when going to visit my DD and it's very different from zones2/3 where I live.

Probably a 10-min walk to the countryside from that house. Part of the appeal for the locals.

This house is small but walking distance from Kings Road - it would not suit everyone but as my mother always said - you can only sit on one chair at once, So I have walked past this house on my way to visit the Chelsea Flower Show - so pretty - obviously hugely expensive for the space you get but if I were as rich as Croessus - I would buy it. Well it is a good job we don't like the same thing . My house is terraced and small & I like it. & @sunshinesupermum - I love the house - the price - tragically - never for me. Ah one can dream - it would amuse me if I ever won the lottery ( at which point the joke - meet me half way - buy a ticket ) I would buy that tiny central cottage over a massive detached McMansion any day of the week. But everyone has their preferences. Meanwhile back at the ranch - trying to find enough cupboard space to store extra cleaning products - Ha ha

I agree that I wouldn't classify Cheam in London either. I would also think Cheam to be in Surrey.

What have they done to it?
I think I would have preferred it unrenovated to be honest.

I actually think it's pretty bland. Trendy, but bland.
