Stuff to organise new kitchen

Sooverthemill · 13/10/2020 10:01

We've almost finished our new kitchen ( will post photos when complete). Want to keep it tidy and organised in the cupboards and drawers so I've been looking in places like John Lewis for things like lazy Susan's and tiered shelves for tins but gosh it's expensive! Where did you get yours from , links really welcome
Thank you

Have you looked on Pinterest for ideas? If you zoom in on a photo the individual items come up and you can see where they are from.

Ikea or Dunelm as a cheaper alternative to John Lewis?

Wilkinson has a great, cheap range of kitchen storage solutions which you can buy online for delivery. www.wilko.com/en-uk/storage/kitchen-organisers/c/1268

Also try TK Max if you're near one and Argos.

Ikea have a good selection of drawer inserts/dividers

I spent an hour in the kitchen and utility room section of IKEA when I was nearly finished with my reno, spent about £110, and it all controls the clutter works pretty much as hoped.

I got my cutlery drawer trays from b and q. Bamboo ones. They fit the 900mm draw perfectly and (last such (I think!) look much more expensive than they were.

IKEA do white tubs I have used my my top pan drawer and a couple of cupboards and then also do a metal stand thing you can use to create a second level in cupboards - it was only a couple of quid.

Ikea is good for food and spice storage. Amazon is good for drawer inserts and tiered storage- you can often get the springed drawer inserts ones that fit in multiple sized drawers.

Pipandmum · 13/10/2020 20:46

B&M apparently have those clear boxes similar to those on Home Edit. Check out Amazon too.

GrumpyHoonMain · 13/10/2020 20:48

B&M and the Range, between them, have the full carver range. Lots of amazing storage options

Lakeland has loads of organisers, and exceptional returns policy

You could also look there for inspiration and buy cheaper items elsewhere
Ikea also good

Buying plate stackers, interior shelf dividers etc added tons of storage to my kitchen - all about 10 years old (mostly from Lakeland, expect they will outlive me)

I have the ikea white tubs too and they are great - going strong after 5 years

NotMeNoNo · 14/10/2020 08:06

Tk Maxx /Homesense usually have an awesome kitchen organiser section. Or Ikea. Lakeland might cost as much as the kitchen did.

Sooverthemill · 14/10/2020 08:12

All great ideas but I should have said I can only buy online. I live rurally with no big shops and am pretty much housebound anyway even pre Covid but I will check out the suggestions that are online. Thank you!

Might be too late etc but why didn't you consider storage options when designing the kitchen?!

Oh I did! I have oak cutlery dividers made to measure and I have peg board drawers but I mean solely for inside my drawer where I will keep food bags, cling film, foil etc and for inside my pantry cupboard. It has door hung oak spice/ bottle racks and 3 huge drawers but on the 3 shelves I would like a way of stacking cans etc so I can see them, a box/ basket for sachets/ stock cartons etc. So I've attached a photo of the cupboard staring to be filled and I'd just like it tidier! Surely everyone has a cans/ packets shelf?

Oh! OK think I understand a bit better now. That cupboard looks like a great option to me by the way, excellent choice! Personally once the cans etc are in the cupboard I tend to just have a loose 'system' for where it all goes. Things like beans to the left or spaghetti over there... Never needed further pots or trays to organise what is already a confined space.
