Just that really, need to get rid of ancient boiler and site it somewhere else. Is it easier to move from one downstairs room to another or move it right up into the loft, does it involve less pipes if on same level as the gas pipe??

Kitchen, it's more convenient to keep an eye on and when the man comes out to do the annual check, unless you want to shove him up the loft once a year

also, the gasman is liable to refuse unless you have a fixed ladder, lighting, safety handrail round the hatch, and fixed flooring.

I was once unable to climb a ladder for about a year so couldn't go in the loft. You will not see or hear if it is making funny noises or dripping.

Kitchen.
Mine is in the loft and it's a pain if there is a problem.

I’d agree with kitchen. Mine had a slow leak and I caught it because the counter was wet. If it had been in the loft, it would either be the water pressure getting low enough to shut off the heating or the water soaking through the ceiling before I noticed.
