Question about Boiler pipe through exterior wall sending condensation to window

My bedroom window looks really mucky from the blasts of (I think) condensation.
I am wondering if the pipe could be extended upwards, so the steam is diverted.
Would this be possible do you think, or it it just a standardised length for safety reasons?

Is it one of these? If so they do them on longer pipes (they look like a periscope!) I think current regulations are that they need to be 30cm (don't quote me on that) from other vents (eg cooker/bathroom extractor fans)

Thank you! Yes, now I have read this I realise it is a flue. There are no other outlets on the same wall.
I could ask a gas engineer, but thought I'd just do a quick shout out here in case in was something I could DIY

I only learned the name after having our boiler replaced Grin

Definitely something that needs to be done by a trades person. It's mainly water vapour but also traces carbon monoxide & nitrous oxide so needs to be fitted properly. This is also why it needs to be away from other vents too, so they're not sucked back in.

You sound like me - don't want to get someone in & pay them if I can do it myself!
