Is it normal to view the house you’re buying more than once?

We are at the point of exchange (next week fingers crossed) and our buyer wants to come over to measure up for blinds or some such.

They have been three times already, twice before putting in their offer and then again mid way through the conveyancing process.

We’ve only viewed the house we’re buying once and I wouldn’t feel comfortable asking for repeated visits in the current situation or in any situation really.

I think our buyer’s a bit cheeky! I’ve agreed to all visits as I don’t want to discourage them.

4 times no.

Twice, ok.

I think 2-3 times is normal. Definitely twice before putting an offer in, then dependent on the person and situation a third time close to completion. I do actually think 4 times is taking the biscuit a bit, but it depends on how much of an inconvenience it is for you

I'd never view just once!

I bought my previous property after two pre offer bookings and a couple of visits during the process to measure up etc.

We would have just done once, but the owner asked us if we wanted to go back and measure for curtains etc. So we did two. I think anything more than that is a bit much though, especially in covid times.

We are on our sixth house move, and other than a flat we temporarily rented, we have viewed every house we bought at least twice and more likely three times. If you're spending thousands and thousands of pounds, think it's reasonable to have a thorough look and be able to measure up etc.

they using blinds as an excuse.
they wish to check the property before the exchange in case major changes or damages happened.
sellers tend to neglect their property once they have a buyer.
I'm 100% sure, they start looking around.
I did the same(two viewing only) one week before exchange.

We have been told by our solicitor to view again as close to exchange as we can. Whether this is because we are buying an empty property I'm not sure, but he said that we need to check the condition of the property and that no damage has occurred in the interim that we would unknowingly become liable for.

Having read the thread on moving day nightmares I can see why.
