Renovation

Completed today, not moving yet because the house needs renovation. Anyone else in the same boat? Would you like to join this thread so that we can support each other and discuss things as we go along?

I will be inspecting the roof, deciding whether to replace gas fireplaces, and choosing bathrooms and kitchen in the near future. I will be testing the heating tomorrow to see if it works properly. I will be talking (again) to the builder next week to finalise things, agreeing a start date and deciding when I can realistically move in (the sooner the better but equally I don't want to be living on a building site).

Can I join in please?
Half way through a loft conversion, kitchen/utility extension, new porch, new conservatory roof, new kitchen and bathroom refit.
4 kids and 2 dogs, ceilings being dropped so dust everywhere. If lockdown didn’t turn my hair grey this certainly is!

Ordered a lot of lights today, all the new outside ones and various for inside the house.
Also ordered the Kitchen TV unit from Dormy House we need to paint it the same colour as the existing kitchen units - but feels so good to be ordering stuff.
Also got confirmation from Wren that our utility room is being delivered on the 14th Dec (although the builders wont touch it till the NY).
I need to go and clear out our ensuite as the builders are destroying it tomorrow!

Builders have ripped out 90% of the old ensuite just the shower tray and the wall between the bath and shower still standing.
They've ripped up all the carpet in the landing and 2 of the bedrooms and taken down the curtains in those rooms - the rooms already look better without the dreadful curtains!
