Rendering before house sale

Parts of the render on our house are blistering and it'll need rerendering at some point in the next few years. Not something we can paint over.

Given it'll cost a few ££££, is it worth getting it done before we sell or agreeing to knock something off the sale price?

We've had major work done before and it's not added value (in fact has been costly overall), but it's not been as visible as this.

I'd market as is. The future buyer will get a survey. It'll come up on the survey. You re-negotiate based on that.

We knew we needed a damp proof. We didn't do it. Buyers survey recommended a damp proof. We went halves on remap proofing with buyers and they did it before they moved in.

That's been Dh's suggestion, go halves on the cost of the work.

If your house is nicely presented rather than a fixer upper, I wouldn’t put it on the market with render coming off as it just looks run down.

However, I would think it could be patched up and given a lick of paint rather than a full re-render.
