Need to shift a load of junk- how to ensure reputable clearance company?

After a house refurbishment I have a load of junk on the front garden. I thought of shifting it myself but I don’t have a car and realistically with only 2 trips to the dump allowed per month I can’t do it. I don’t want someone to take it and then fly tip it in a field so how can I find a reputable trader? Thanks for any advice.

We just hired a small skip! I did worry if it would be worth it but we've filled it to the brim which would have taken 5 or 6 trips to the tip with our large car so its been invaluable. A bit more expensive than man with a van but reputable and could take our time filling it.

You could try hippo bags - my neighbours did this and said it was very quick and easy. Instead of a skip they deliver a huge bag which they then take away in a lorry when you've filled it up.

You can check that they have a waste license I believe or yes use something like hippo bags.

Thanks everyone. I have contacted a licensed company. They want me to take pics of all the stuff and then they will quote.

As long as the company you use have a waste carriers licence, and gives you a waste transfer note when they collect, then you're OK. When you get the quote, it might be worth comparing it to the cost of getting a small skip, sometimes a skip can be cheaper, depends where you are.

Thanks katmarie. If it’s a shocker I’ll also think of getting a skip. I didn’t know about the waste transfer note but I will ask.
