Lead flashing

Just wondered if anyone had got the lead flashing replaced by their dorma window. I’m in a terraced house about 120 years old with a slate roof. Getting a quote this week but wanted to ask if anyone had a rough idea of cost of replacement. It is causing a gap in the slate tiles causing water to get in. Hoping it isn’t too expensive to fix. It’s less than a metre length that needs replaced - as far as I know. I’m in Scotland if that makes a difference. Many thanks

Last month we had our roof replaced including new lead flashing - the problem is highly likely the cost of scaffolding not the cost of replacing the flashing. Not many builders like climbing roofs without scaffolding in place.

The lead flashing work cost £1,860 + vat for our two dormers, two chimneys and brick dividers between two neighbours (mid terrace 120 year old London house).

Hope that helps!

Am I being unreasonable? Sainsbury’s online sold me Apple crumble which was almost 7 months out of date.

Said it’s quality over safety

Am I being unread to refuse £ 25.00 compensatory payment

I think £25 seems fair to me, although you will need a lot more out of date food to be delivered to raise enough to replace some lead flashing. Grin

Not one but 3 Apple crumbles. We ate 2 and became sick. That when we took the packaging from the bin and realised they were almost 7 months out of date.

Sainsbury has a legal duty to sell items that are within date. This was not the first time. I was not given a choice in this matter .
