Floor tiles - have you laid your own floor

I’m interested to know if anyone has laid their own stick-on bathroom tiles and how difficult they found doing it?

I was looking at Quadrostyle ones initially and they make it sound simple but I don’t see how you can get a neat, professional finish cutting around the toilet, sink, and other areas that jut out like we have in our bathroom.

You use something called a 'contour gauge' and you can get the profile of the 'thing that juts out' and transfer that to the tile and then cut the tile before fitting. Make sure you get a reasonable sized gauge, otherwise you may have to make lots of individual measurements.

I laid ours using a pencil, paper and scissors. I didn’t want to spend much because the house was rented, it actually turned out ok. I did it over a few days because it takes time and patience to get it right

Just googled quadrostyle and they are lovely. Ours were cheap B&Q so may have been easier to cut with scissors

I got some cheap ones from Homebase, along with metal ruler and Stanley knife and plenty of blades.
You need to lay onto a flat surface. Our bathroom had plywood already down.
