Hi, I was wondering if anyone know well about the area.
I know that Upminster has many big houses and they are quite expensive.
How about Upminster Bridge? It seems the house price is not bad compare to Upminster, how's environment and primary/secondary like in the area?

Both nice areas. Upminister bridge is further from the high st.

www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk/

You can compare schools on there. On the local council’s website you’ll see how big catchments are and what schools you’d get from the locations.

Upminster has a reasonable high street shopping area with a good mix of shops. It has a large park , decent schools and is on the tube network as well as c2c overground line. Prices are expensive.
Upminster bridge is mainly residential with a few 'local' shops - newsagent, florist, etc etc. It is about halfway between Upminster town centre and Hornchurch town centre. It has a tube station. Schools are realistically those situated in Upminster or Hornchurch, though the sixth form college is within walking distance. Both areas are OK, but neither is immune to the problems that affect society generally.

Upminster Bridge is generally a nice area. Good transport links, schools and quite central for access to main A roads, motorways etc. Not far from Lakeside shopping centre and close to dartford crossing for access to Kent and Bluewater. It's close to Hornchurch which has supermarkets like Sainsburys and Iceland, many restaurants and pubs.

Because it's well regarded as a nice area it does get targeted a lot for car thefts and the like- but that is true of many areas now sadly. There was also a real problem a year or so ago with youths from other areas coming into the area via train, committing muggings and thefts and then leaving the area again, but that seems to have stopped. I'm unsure if it's covid related or if action was taken/the perpetrators caught. I would recommend that Ring style doorbells and CCTV are an absolute must if you have a keyless entry car.

Upminster Bridge is lovely but further away from Coopers Coburn (an outstanding secondary school). Cranham is good value and parts of south Cranham are still in the Coopers catchment area (0.5 miles from school afaik).
