Which pans/pots do you recommend for an induction hob?

I know stainless steel and cast iron are the ideal types to use, but can anybody recommend the best ones they've purchased please, and from where (ideally dishwasher safe)?

If you bought a set, was it worth doing so, or would you have been better off buying a few individual ones?

Buy the best you can afford. The cheaper ones are noisy. I regret not splashing out and one or two of my new pans I just don’t use because of the noise they make

Circulon Induction range is excellent. Otherwise a visit to TKmaxx for bargains.

If you're renovating a kitchen, you do have the option to have both - it doesn't have to be one or the other.

I have a flexi induction hob which sits besides an extremely powerful gas wok burner (both Neff) - I definitely use both.

I have stellar and Le Creuset and both are fab. I’ll Creuset aren’t noticeably better and the stellar ones were much much cheaper.

The ones Bouncydog has linked to are the same as we have which were the recommended ones by Siemens to use for best results on their induction hobs.

I bought individual ones from John Lewis and pop them in the dishwasher too. My favourite though is a one off I bought from Wilko, really heavy pan and also great in dishwasher!

I have a set from Circulon that I'd rate - not because they're amazingly durable (the non stick coating started to fail after 4 years of daily/dishwasher use) but the warranty is top notch - they sent a new set out no problem from their latest equilavent range.

On the basis that no non-stick pan lasts forever, I'd get those.

I’ve just replaced my crappy frying pans with Pro Cook anodised. They’re lush.

I’ve had a set of Le Creuset stainless steel pans for about 12 years now and they are amazing, got them in Debenhams sale so nicely reduced. Cast iron too heavy for my liking and not convinced they are suitable for induction but I may be wrong. Circulon do a nice set often available in Costco for a good price too if Le Creuset too pricey.

I went ahead and ordered a few bits from the Ikea 365 and Ourmbarlig range. I'm sure they'll be fine, why I didn't think of Ikea in the first place I'll never know.

Glad others are raving about having an induction pan. My friends and family were aghast when I said I'd be getting one - they said they'd never be able to make that switch as they're too 'loyal' to gas, whatever that means...

It was the easy spray and wipe that did it for me, but the fact that it feels so much more automated than a gas hob, is incredibly appealing, as is the safety aspect.
