Have you lost money when you sold your flat/house?

We're looking to sell, bought in 2017 and it seems we may have overpaid.

Anyone else in the same boat or sold and lost money?

@romatheroamer sorry, I did misunderstand. I get it but it's still annoying though! It seems quite a few people who bought in 2016/2017 may have overpaid.

@peajotter love how you think about it!

@Hopefulbride18 no, not yet!

I think we overpaid on our current house, which we had to get into a bidding war for at the height of the last boom. I have noticed a few houses locally have sold for less than or about the same as the price they paid 3-5 years ago, which has been unheard of in London since the slump in the early 90s. I think we would probably lose money if we sold now, if indeed we were able to sell at all. The market is pretty dead here. Fortunately our mortgage rate is rock-bottom and we're not planning to move any time soon, so it doesn't really matter at the moment.
