Just DP and I at the moment but want room for potential DC and guests and we both WFH FT so need a study/studies.

Occasional travel into London so needs to be connected.

I love the coast, he loves the countryside!

Another vote for Norfolk / Suffolk. Beautiful countryside, sandy beaches and good trainlines to London.

Anywhere on the east coast mainline from north York's/Northumberland up to east lothian/Edinburgh. Very beautiful and rural but with easy links. You'd get loads for your money.
