Lamona appliances - any recent experience?

I've been to view a new build today, which I liked a lot. I loved the kitchen, all the appliances are integrated and are branded Lamona who I hadn't heard of. A quick Google showed up some awful reviews, but some are quite old, so I was hoping that someone here might have more recent, hopefully positive, experience of them.

It would seem that they are Howden's own brand of electricals but are actually rebrands of other makes.

Any info gratefully received.

So so awful - we have 1/2 lamona and 1/2 bosch.. all the lamona is broken or crap or both. E.g built in fridge that you can't adjust door shelves, so will only fit mini jars in two of the tree shelves, extractor so noisy you canot talk over it, tap leaking and dropping, sinks don't drain properly as completely flat at the bottom. Avoid.

I'm confused that you think AEG appliances are any good ?! A quick google search proves they most definitely are not ! Look at Trustpilot reviews for instance ......

@Bonwren I have Aeg in a holiday house and they are fine. I prefer to look at ratings at places like John Lewis and other retailers. Trust Pilot is odd. Reviews by Which are useful at times too. Aeg are reliable and not too expensive. I wouldn’t put anyone off. Neff, Bosch are certainly ok at similar price points.

Has anybody else had problems with Lamona Induction Hobs or induction hobs in general ?

I bought a hob from Howdens and it stopped working with a bang after three weeks of use.

Howdens sent an engineer out to look at it and he said it was a common problem because although the cookware being used says “induction compatible “ and has the coiled sign bases like these are of next to no use. The story is that the hob mechanism works too hard with inferior products causing burn out and that solid stainless steel bases are the only ones that will ensure trouble free use.

Although I understand the theory behind this , after much research I can find no other references to this issue. Am I being given false information? In the meantime I am without the use of a hob and still waiting for replacement parts .

Not recent but we have the full works in our kitchen, dishwasher, cooker, hob, cooker ventilation hood, freezer and freezer. I'd never heard of Lamona before. On purchase the vendor told us they were installed in 2010 when builders bought and renovated, but neighbour tells me they were installed before then as she regularly visited.

We purchased in 2014. The only one we've had a problem is the dishwasher - it didn't drain Xmas 2022, this could well be a blockage rather than dishwasher - haven't bothered getting it looked at as we only used a couple of times a year.

Everything else has been absolutely fine, we haven't had any repairs or replacements. The fridge and freezer are integrated, and the door hinges have all broken at some stage (obviously not down to Lamona though), after a couple of times, we got a spare.

We've had a hob, ovens and fridge/freezer from them for 10 years with no issues. When the Lamona dishwasher finally died we replaced it with a Bosch and TBH I regret it. The Lamona of the same size had a larger capacity.

Our Lamona induction hob has given us no trouble at all for 10 years.

Our lamona Appliances, oven, microwave, induction hob are all useless. We've had them for two years and they do not work efficiently. Oven heats up one side hotter than the other. Hob rings don't work fully if your using another ring. Microwave we have now replaced with a Panasonic. Which hears evenly. We also had a sink fitted but the draining board, didn't. It holds water unless you wipe it away. I will never buy again and advise you to do the same.
