Logistics of painting and hanging a door

Stupid question I know but I can't see how I should plan this. I have a new back door and I want to paint it but ask someone else to hang it for me. So do I get them to hang it and then take it down again and then I paint it and then they come back and put it back up?? Also it's an external door - is it feasible to get it painted, dried and rehung in one day?

Paint it in situ. I just did mine - primer, undercoat, two top coats - and it was fine. Only faff was doing it in DD's nap time so it took 8 million goes at it. Don't think it's a one-day job.

Not a one-day job - usually you use oil based paint for external which can take 8 hours to dry so you'd need to spread the coats over a number of days

have it hung on lift-off hinges, so it can be taken off to paint (including the neglected top and bottom) without screws needing to be taken out of the rehang being adjusted.

Assuming a wood door. Get your fitter to hang the door then remove (takes a minute). Prime and seal with 2 coats Zinssner 123 frame and door. Undercoat frame and door. Hang door. Mask hinges and ironmongery. Top coat.
