Scrubbable /wipeable kitchen paint!

We are redoing the kitchen and I am after a good scrubbable/wipeable kitchen paint. The wall where the cooker will go will be tiled, but also want the option to clean the rest when needed. I am going for a timeless/jasmine white colour as the room is quite narrow and want it tok open. I am sure this was asked before but just looking for recommendations. Will a silk finish be more forgiving when you wash it!!

Have a look at Dulux diamond should fit the bill , though I haven't used it.

Dulux diamond

We have had Dulux Kitchen for at least 3 years behind the cooker (no tiles/splashback) and it can get a good amount of splashes, I use a steam cleaner on it now and again if it needs it, it removes dried in grease and tomato based sauce splashes no problems and hasn't affected the paint yet.

Wow, Dulux kitchen sounds great! Will look into that and the diamond trade version too...

If you need super durable, scuff x by benjamin moore. It is available in matt although I think it has something like an 8% sheen (ie. not as matt as some). More hard wearing than the dulux but more expensive as well.

Thank you all. Diamond matt sounds good, but any thoughts about vinyl silk? Is this completely tacky/unfashionable? We used to have silk/shiny paint in the kitchen when I was growing up and my mum used to give it a good wash (with washing up liquid and all!) once a year...Grin sth like this will be ideal with two very messy little ones (until they grow up and we can switch to matt again)...any thoughts?

matt is harder to wipe clean than silk.

I am told silk is less fashionable, if that is more important to you.

Many thanks PigletJohn. With small kids, practicality is more important than fashion at this stage 😊. I think I might go for silk...

There are special "kitchen and bathroom" paints that are acrylic, not the same as ordinary emulsion and more hard wearing. I have not used them. Painters seem to dislike them and say they are too thick for a good finish.
