What to do with this ensuite?!

I don’t want to admit how long this ensuite has been like this, partly due to corona but mainly due to me not being able to make up my mind!

My original idea was to have a custom made reclaimed wood wash stand on the right hand side (with a mixer tap/single sit on basin), coloured tiles on floor and metro white tiles in the shower (back wall) and on the built in box housing the toilet/plumbing.

However we have 4.5m of marble hexagon tiles that couldn’t be used in a room I had bought them for so really I should using them! There’s enough to either just do the shower enclosure or the back wall of the shower and floor to ceiling behind the wash stand. I can’t really buy more of them as they don’t do the shiny version that I’ve got, only the matt version.

The other option is to take out the washstand and run the boxing to the end of the room, use the marble tiles and just have a normal sink on a pedestal. I guess then matching rectangle marble tiles for the shower enclosure?! The room is very narrow so I can’t run the boxing along and have a wash stand attached- which would have been an easy solution! Confused

I know I’m overthinking it and I’ve Pinterest-ed myself blind so any helpful ideas/design inspiration would be most welcome!!

What's the bedroom like? I think the en suite should feel like an extension of the bedroom in terms of style and colour, or at least not have a majorly jarring difference. (So you wouldn't have a black-satin-and-shagpile bedroom with a fresh Scandi en suite, for example)

I'd say get the tiles you want and sell the hex ones. You'll be using the en suite every day, and you don't want to start each morning thinking, "This could have been lovely with those metro tiles..."

Can you mix the matt and shiny hexagons? It might look good.

That isn’t a particularly big space. Honestly I would turn the whole thing into a wet room. You could then have the sink you want.

Sell the hexagon tiles. Have what you actually want.

Sell the tiles and buy new ones.
It's very personal though, isn't it? I mean, I can't stand those basins that sit on olde worlde wash stands, simply because I think it's mad to have a wooden surround for a wash basin. People I know who have had them spend their time wiping up splashes - a bit like have solid wood worktop round your sink. I also like a loo where the workings are accessible, not tiled in behind a panel.
I would look at your bedroom and try and match it in with that colourwise. As for fittings, go for easy to clean/wipe down as a priority (which to me doesn't include a wet room, as everything gets soaked if they are small) and as much storage as you can squeeze in.
