Hi everyone, not sure if I’ve put this under the right subject but anyway!

I’m due to have my first baby in 6 weeks and ordered furniture from next which is damaged Angry so im having to send it back.

I’ve found a nice furniture set on wayfair but I’ve never been 100% sure on this website due to various things I’ve read.

Has anyone got any personal experience of using this website to purchase furniture? What is the quality like? Customer service? Delivery time etc.

Thanks so much in advance! Smile xx

I’ve bought a console table, lamp and bedside tables. Console table was a good price and wasn’t flat pack (just had to screw in the legs), the bedside tables were flat pack and I’d say are more solid than Ikea.

They’re a storefront for lots of different brands so probably vary.

The child trafficking thing is bonkers: that some item names correspond to some missing persons is pure coincidence as you can type just about any name into the Wayfair search function and it will bring up several items of furniture or decor with that name (I am 36 different items, including a bedside table; a rug; and a hat stand. DP is a shelf, a cabinet and a cutlery set, among others. Our names are not common. Neither of us, to our knowledge, have been kidnapped recently.)

The items themselves are hit and miss. I’ve had some decent stuff in the past. Read each supplier’s reviews and look for similar items elsewhere to get a price point.

I bought a bed and mattress. All fine. I even spoke to customer services who were also good and called me back about an issue (which wasn't their fault and they were very fair).

Mug wasn't just the name thing. It was more to do with the name of a missing child and the £10k difference in pride of exactly the same piece of furniture.

Not giving any opinion, but it was about more than just a name

Same as @UnshakenNeedsStirring, I no longer buy from them after they went out of their way to profit from migrant children literally being kept in cages, away from their Mums and Dads. Prior to that I had hit or miss experiences with them, but I won't give my money to a company who thinks it's okay to profit off kids' pain and xenophobic and abusive practices like that - they're awful.

I think a lot of their stuff is overpriced for what it is, and they do remove poor reviews. I bought a small bookcase that had badly misaligned holes so was impossible to assemble. I gave it a bad review, but I did get my money back. Once I had been refunded the review disappeared (but perhaps they had decided to no longer stock it. I haven't seen it again).
You can buy similar items to a lot of their wares elsewhere, at places like The Range or Dunelm, for a lot less money.
OP, have a look at 'Furniture 123' website. We have bought several things from them and are very pleased with the items and speed of delivery.

I wouldn't buy from Wayfair. Totally unethical company.
