Gazebos, lean-tos, clear roof? Planning rules

Our conservatory and kitchen leave a square of space between them

Could we put a wooden gazebo sort of like a lean to on the kitchen wall with a clear roof to sit under

Are there any rules about planning etc - I live in a terraced house

You could put a veranda in - lovely!

Yes that sort of thing but maybe wood? as it's already a deck?

Thanks

I’ve been thinking of doing that too as my neighbours across the back have done so.

Corafex (I think it’s called?) corrugated clear roof. Wood posts holding it up. The only thing I can think of that could be a problem is the weight of snow on the winter (may need to be pushed off) or how to get to the existing house gutters to clean them as the new structure would get in the way.
I’m not imagining I’d need planning. It’s more a temporary structure I’m thinking of. As opposed to a part of a house. It will still be ‘outside’ and open to the air.

Except for 'the east from the east' I'm not sure we get enough snow round here to worry about tbh!

Sounds like we are thinking the same sort of thing

I saw a do it for £300 type youtube video but I'll be getting someone in to do it!

Have a look on the planning portal for outbuildings. There are limits on height and size, but they are generous. I suspect you'll be under the size for building regs, but ensure it is built well and with enough strength to put up with horrible weather.

Thanks, I will
