DP and I have found a house we really love with lots of potential
We have enough for a deposit and some small savings but not enough to do everything in one go, it would be incremental over a couple of years.

How much do you think it would cost to renovate this house?

My kitchen units/surfaces/doors/kickboards/end panels/extractor fan were £1600. The freestanding oak sink unit £700. I have free standing appliances. My brother put the flat pack units together (I would have put them together but he needed curtains making for a whole house) and put units in. Joiner fitted sink unit and worktops. Tiles £10 per metre square.
Its an expensive house for its size but thats due to location and its for sale and viewers have loved the kitchen. Got offers just waiting for someone with a proceedable offer.
In my last house I put a hand built kitchen in for £2300, that was a beautiful kitchen, a bit quirky but really suited the house.

Bathrooms, a loo is about £60, a basin £60, baths can be very cheap but I went for a 10mm so £300, bath taps about £30, basin taps £30 these are modern good quality taps. Bath panel £15. The shower must have been about £300, tray, enclosure, shower head. Tiles £10 per metre square, Lino about £50. The bathroom is a wow factor because of its size and layout. I spent £1k on materials and £1K on the fitting, tiling and lino fitting. Couldn't have anything other than lino due to very old floor boards.
I used a plumbing company that I've used before and the apprentice and newly qualified plumber fitted the bathroom so I got 2 working for the price of the 1 if the owner of the company had fitted it (he mainly does gas boilers). They were very good young plumbers.
