How would you make our house look nice?

It's a 1930s semi-d house with that orangey brown pebbledash covering. Probably on the smaller end of those houses. Windows like attachment.

There is a small drive and garden which is just empty and stone like (bar the tiny drive). It just looks a bit 'meh'.

Some houses in the next street have painted theirs white with the red brickwork edging, but cant work out if it actually looks any nicer.

Thoughts?

I’d not go pink or blue it will stick out like a sore thumb and put people off if you ever wish to sell it. It’s lovely in some areas, but not out of context in a standard street.

I’d go white, leave the edging brick work pale grey. Then I’d grow wisteria up it.

I think you cannot go wrong with a soft white or very pale grey. Slight contrast colour for the quoins. Match with front door colour for a coordinated look but only if the front door is a stone colour or similar.

Change the front door to add a contrast colour and personality. Good door furniture also makes a huge difference.

Plant a flower bed in the front of the house to add interest. Make sure the drive is even and sound. Edge the drive with flower beds to soften it. Don’t have tiny patches of grass.

Go round your neighbourhood and see what others have done - take a quick pix of what you like. Some ideas attached.

Paint it bright white and place some garden plants on the outside.

Also make sure that the drive is tidy

We had our house rendered in cream, the render itself is cream silicone so no maintenance. The company does many colours.
