Cost of a New Bathroom

Hi all, seeking some advice about the cost of fitting a new bathroom and looking for advice.
I moved in to my property a couple of years ago and at the time decided the bathroom was fine and decided to live with it.
I have done a little bit of work on it as in painted the tiles, walls and put down some laminate flooring tiles which you can fit yourself.
Basically the bathroom suite is old and I cannot bring myself to use the bath, taps are all brass and horrid.
I have a separate shower cubicle which has also seen better days.
Basically it all needs ripping out and I am wondering if any kind people can give me an idea of the cost I am looking at going forward?
I would not mind losing the separate shower if the work could be done cheaper as I live alone and do not have a huge budget. Or should I actually retain the separate shower going forward as it may be more appealing if I decide to re - sell in the next couple of years? TIA

Ive just redone a bathroom. Left the toilet as is, took out a shower cubicle, put in a bath with overhead shower and moved the basin. Plumbing costs are coming in around 1k, sanitary ware with fittings approx. £500 as I spent far too many hours scouring the net for deals (wanted black fittings so could be done for less in chrome). Tiles for 2 walls and the floor £300 and I'm fitting them myself.
Total cost with stud wall materials etc should be around the 2k mark. However bathroom is only 4m x 1.5m.

Just had our small bathroom redone. New toilet, sink unit with storage, ripped out the bath and put in a large shower cubicle (well as large as we can fit). Tile effect wetwall, new floor, waterfall shower and tap etc. £3.5k. We got 4 quotes and all worked out about the same.

Also looked at sourcing our own stuff and hiring a trade to fit it, but cost worked out about the same so wasn't worth the hassle.

Following, as I'm wanting mine done. I've had three quotes so far, all around £5k all in. Complete rip out, redo, including all materials, suite, tiles, electrics etc. I was hoping to get closer to £4k so wondering whether to get more quotes. I'm in Yorkshire.

Thank you all, I was expecting much higher prices which has been putting me off, I was thinking closer to 6k, so clueless.
I do not want anything fancy, just clean and new. I am partial to a bit of tongue and groove which I have had before, thinking if you get fed up of the bathroom you can simply ring the changes by painting it.
No idea where to begin looking at bathroom suites or even plumbers.
I wonder how long it would take?

Forgot to add I am based both close to Liverpool and Manchester, I have used the bathstore before but have been hearing some negative things.
It has been a difficult decision to come to as I have not seen this as my forever home and one minute I decide to leave it for the next owners so they can put in a bathroom of their choice. On the other hand I feel I cannot live with it and deserve something nice, depending on the budget of course.
