House isn't listed in the sold house prices in this street - is that a cause for alarm?

Just this really, have looked at all the three main sites for sold prices. Interested, so want to know what they paid previously.
I wonder how long dies it take for prices to appear, surely a year is enough...

@CatAndHisKit if you do a land registry search it will tell you instantly if it includes a price paid - this was only added in the last 10 years or so. You do have to pay the £3 to see how much it was if it says yes.

If it says no then it will have been transferred at no value (i.e. probate) or will pre-date when they started listing it.

(this screenshot is of a random street I picked, by the way!)

@CatAndHisKit Sorry should have said, there’s no charge, it’s free

The sale for the house that we sold about 4 years ago isn’t shown on rightmove or the gov.uk sold prices. As it had never appeared, I was concerned that maybe the buyers solicitor hadn’t dealt with it properly, so recently purchased details from the Land Registry, which confirmed that it is registered to the new owner. So I still have no idea why it’s not on there and maybe the same had happened with the house that you’re looking at OP?

thank you, Charming and Goodsister!

Living - yes, strange, but maybe it was a very different value to other ones, as pp said.

My friends house doesnt show up. They didn't use an agent.

it was definitely sold a few years ago by the looks of reno - the current owners have renovated with solar panels and all sorts, so it wouldn't be the sanme people who lived there for 20+yrs! Other houses show there sold in 1998.

I'm not sure why you think this shows it must have been sold at that point. The house could have been inherited, or the owners might finally have had the money to do the renovations they'd waited years to do.

I bought a new build in 2008 for a very normal price and it never appears online. Zoopla etc would show every other flat in the building except mine. When I sold it, the sale was recorded online. But still not my 2008 purchase.

It was odd but it didn't mean anything and I didn't lose any sleep over it.

If it’s bought as a repossession it sometimes doesn’t show up as a sold price. I’m glad because I paid a lot less than the last owners, so when I come to sell it looks like I paid more.

I was just about to write exactly this! We bought a repossession 8 years ago which doesn't show up when searching for house prices.

Davodia, ooh that;s lucky!

I do admire these vendors confidence as everyone can see they've paid a silly sum and now are selling for well over the odds. I'm sure though they must be open to offers.
