Gloss kitchen doors: Acrylic or Laquered?

Hello, trying to choose between two types of kitchen doors from DIY kitchens!
I really love the Cashere colour for gloss, which DIY kitchens does in their Altino range. The doors are "Acrylic-faced MDF".

However, they do a Carrera Gloss range with "Laquered MDF" which is cheaper, but doesn't do the Cashere colour.

I've done my research and with Laquered doors you don't see 'visible edges' but they can be chipped.
With Acrylic-faced doors, they are more hard-wearing and resistant to scratches, but are difficult to colour-match if you need to replace a door and you can see the edges.

Which should I go for? Has anyone else had to make this decision?

Go for the colour I want, Cashmere, in Acrylic-faced MDF which is more expensive...

or go for a colour I don't like as much in Laquered which is a few hundred pounds cheaper...

*Cashmere not cashere

Also some websites say that Laquered are meant to be better than Acrylic, but then why are they cheaper on DIY kitchens!?

That's gorgeous, Issey. I love the colour, I really do. I'd love to get a light blue but it wouldn't suit my house!

we moved in last year and whole house needed decorating so we didn't need to match to any current décor, and after looking at different colours and styles this one was the one that both of us liked

I'm off to diy kitchens showroom a week on sat to have a look at the altino kitchen in cashmere for my new extension. When I got the sample I was disappointed in the acrylic finish, but actually really like it now. Hoping I'm going to love it in the flesh. Same coloured kitchen in Magnet is more than twice the price and isn't acrylic.

enjoy your visit its social distancing at the moment but you can still get a coffee or hot drink from the vending machine and a wrapped biscuit not as good as original cakes but adequate lol

Oh, lucky! What made you disappointed in the acrylic finish?

I want to order samples but it says they take 5-7 days to arrive, and that prices of all kitchens is going up on the 6th July, so I'm not sure it will arrive in time for me to order before the prices go up!

I just hadn't seen or heard of that finish before and wasn't expecting it. But then durability and cost won me over! And also I think it'll retain it's gloss and be easier to keep clean. And it can't peel!
They've had the 'prices going up' thing on the website since Feb, it keeps being extended.
We have an appointment booked, and are staying in a hotel in Sheffield as we are travelling quite a way.
