Move from South West London to Hayward's Heath?

Hello!

We are looking to move out of London. DH will commute to Victoria, he currently works in Chelsea so that works well for us. He will probably WFH 1/2 days a week (perhaps more after COVID).

Anyone do this commute regularly? He usually leaves around 7/7.30 - how easy is it to get a seat around that time?

Is HH area good for young families? Any surrounding villages within walking distance (or short drive) to station? Budget around £750k and would like a 4 bed.

Thank you!!Smile

My husband commutes up that line. We are further down just outside Brighton. He has always been against moving further up the line, to Hayward's Heath for example, as by then all the seats are gone. The time you are talking about is oral commuter time when the trains will be very busy.

Be aware that when thinking ahoy commuting by train you need to remember that you can't just go by the timetable when considering timings. At least once a there is a problem that causes delays to the journey.

My DH leaves about 7 ish and gets home about 8/9 most nights. On a good run if he leaves dead on he can get home at 7.30.

Oral commuter time! That's something altogether different!! And dies not happen in that line as far as DH has told me! Lol!

It should have read "peak commuter time". Not sure where oral cane from!

Horsham is a nice, generic town. Known for being quite boring and not much going on. Not a lot of character.

Nice town centre. Good shops including a JL. Some nice houses. Close to London. Quite well off demographic.

Has an excellent park and ride! Not much use if you are living there but very regular and £2 rtn for 4 people! Probably if you are living there means traffic in town reduced.
