Wood burner stove

We have a chimney in our lounge but I'd like a wood burner (or similar) in our kitchen/family room. I'd want it on a flat wall rather than in the corner
Is that possible?
Has anyone done it?
Any idea on price?

So a wood burner in a completely different room to the lounge? In theory you can place it on an external wall with the flue going out and up to, I think, 1.5m above tiles. Not always practicable but some solution is usually possible.
Cost is in the detail and get 3 quotes.

As a pp said, you can do it, the four can go through your wall and outside.

We put in a multi fuel stone last year but we already had an open chimney etc. Cost £3000 to supply and fit. That included chimney liner, stove, heat proofing etc and a hearth. It's not a big stove

Make sure you are purchasing a very efficient stove so that you're in line with the coming clean air strategy

I don't really need one in my lounge, it's a warm room anyway.
However our kitchen/family room is huge. It needs another heat source.
I'm open to other ideas but it would be good to have a focus point

What about an Aga cooker that retains heat

It's not really that style I'm afraid. It's navy and copper and modern (although I'd love one!)
