Anyone have Clearwater kitchen taps? Are you pleased with them.
Im looking at these. But to be honest its all a bit confusing. Surely a taps a tap, right? 🤷‍♀️

I had a Clearwater tap (not this model) fitted just over a year ago and had nothing but issues from a couple of months after it was put in. The design was so poor the lever kept falling off. Eventually (after literally a year of back and forth - this is the very abridge version of a the saga) they agreed to replace the tap with a different model - but fitting was at my expense, and it had to be another CW tap despite reservations and them not having the design I wanted any more. But they wouldn't budge, despite the original tap being faulty, it was that or lose the money but in the end I gave in as I was just sick of having a broken tap ruining my new kitchen. Oh and then person they sent to do it turned up came without a spanner, I kid you not and couldn't fit it! I ended up fitting it myself.

The newer tap has been fine so far, time will tell, but no, I wouldn't recommend them or their aftersales.

I would recommend Franke taps and their after sales. We had a Franke rap in our utility used daily for over 20 years, without issue. We also had a boiling water tap which was lovely. Unfortunately we had a lot of issues with the boiler. Franke replaced several times but in the end I couldn’t stand the issues any longer so wrote asking if they would consider a partial refund as I had had several periods where it was fine. They refunded in full!

We recently did our bathroom and got JTP taps in and so far they've been great.
Feel like good quality and no issues so far.

A tap is not a tap!! Buy cheap, buy twice etc. Stick with known good brands for taps or you'll kick yourself. Don;t buy cheap.

we got ours from wickes half the price of francke five year garuantee the siena monoblock one

Loofah01 - the tap I'm looking at is £140 in the sale down from £175. I've been looking around that price point. I've seen loads cheaper. But I don't really have the budget to spend much more. Does there not become a point where the quality doesn't get better, you just pay for styling and a fashionable brand name?
