Anyone got a garden office or garden teenage snug?

Considering this. Likely space available only 2.5m by 4m. Do you have either? Does it get used? How warm or cool is it in winter or summer?

I'm in mine now. The teens aren't allowed it. It's all mine.
Nice and warm on sunny spring and autumn days. Hot in the summer...make sure you get one with windows that open.
We could have got an insulated one to heat and use in the winter but I didnt appreciate how much it would love being out listening to the birds etc while reading so we settled for a cheap and cheerful summer house one.
I recommend.

We have one. It gets very hot in the summer. It's heated (greenhouse heater) so fine in the winter. DH uses it occasionally for work. DS uses it for gatherings with friends when he's allowed. It isn't used that much.
It has an electricity supply, a TV and wifi. We did this so that when we sell the house it can be marketed as a home office/work shop.
It came from Costco. DH dig the foundations and built it himself.

We have one that DH built himself.
It's larger but is used everyday, DH uses it as an office, the children keep their Lego there and sometimes we all go there and watch a film.

It's really nice to be able to have a space away from the main house (especially when everyone else is driving you mad!)

So it sounds like heat in summer might be an issue. Presume could install a small air con unit?

I had one of the size you mentioned (just sold our house with it and I miss it!) and absolutely adored it - my favourite room by far. I got a portable air conditioner for the summer months but it was never unbearable. I used it as my office during the day (I wfh) and chill out space in the evening. It was double glazed and insulated. The dogs loved it too, I used to have to carry one of them indoors otherwise she’d stay there all night!

DH built a log cabin (4m x 3m) and uses it all year around to work from home. It's got extra insulation, heating, carpet and rugs, plus a window to help with the heat. Armoured cable under the lawn for electricity.

We had a concrete base put down first but DH did the rest. It's very hot in summer but two windows would help with a through-draft.

Aside from a desk we have a double futon in there for extra sleeping options, a tv and DH keeps all his hobby crap and 3D printer in there.

We have a cabin which the previous owners installed. Spent two years being filled with crap. It now houses two offices and a sitting area due to lockdown. We love it. I mean the joy of having my own space for the first time in years is incalculable !!! It has a sedum roof and we have installed electric heaters so temperature seems to be pretty stable. We also use for family films, picnics etc

We’re just about to build one.

We have a thatched pool house and it’s usable all year round with a heater. It has a wooden floor and painted wood walls. It’s unique!

We are just contemplating replacing a very old “play house” built for DC. It’s not in great condition and is basically a painted shed with double doors. We intend to replace it with a rectangular flat roof garden room about 5x3m. DH wants gym equipment in there. We are having two sides as sliding windows and the third side will have a window too. It will have heating and cooling. We intend to have a wood floor and white walls. It’s costing a lot! However it should be usable all the time and we are having it maintenance free as far as possible.

we have one which was built by the previous owners. DH used to use it as an office to work from home, but it was cold in winter & hot in summer. The only doors / windows are south facing so it gets full sun all day in the summer which makes it very hot.

It is now mostly used for storage, but I've promised DD that she can have it as a teenage den if she helps to clean it up first.
