Hotpoint integrated dishwasher BFI680

This was already installed in our house when we moved in (its integrated) and it's never been great with it only working intermittently but with current health issues we have started to use it. Usually it runs a programme but over the weekend it just won't start. Lights are on and flashing ( the R and the Auto programmes at the same time). I assume there should be a reset button but I've googled and can't find anything out, it's integrated so I can't see how to pull it out and unplug it and plug it in again ( which seems to be a reset option).

Any ideas? With restrictions I can't even get a replacement installed or old one removed . I'm guessing we have to just go back to washing up!
Thank you

Here is your instruction manual (quick google, and troubleshooting) I don't know what positions your lights are but it is saying it is an error message.

See if that helps at all. As for getting an appliance, my oven just died we bought a new one from AO.com and it is coming on Wednesday!

@Sooverthemill forgot to tag you

@chunkyriverfish thanks. All the appliance people say they can only deliver to our doorstep and we couldn't get it into our kitchen without help and we can't physically remove our old one as it's built in and get it taken away. I have contacted AO, Boots, John Lewis, Curry's etc and all say to doorstep and no removal of old one. Our recycling centres are all closed so they can't do a bulky waste collection.

The error message you suggest isn't what I have . It is the R and the last one 'auto' which are flashing

If you are looking to switch it on and off again and it is integrated, there should be a fused isolation switch for it. The two most likely places will be either on the wall above the work surface, probably by a socket, or in the cupboard either side of the dishwasher.

@much,y yes I've done that too. I'm really at my wits end. Integrated dishwashers? Just why? Usually my fail safe is unplug wait a minute then plug back in and a dishwasher/ washer resets ( my dad was an electrician). But I can't unbuild the kitchen to get at it. The manual which I have doesn't help at all. Oh well. Back to washing up and wait for to start back with its full installation/ removal service. This is at least 15 years old so I don't begrudge buying a new one

Integrated just look far better, we had one fitted in our new kitchen 7 years ago, it died last year, we googled, and found a video on how the door was fitted and removed it, replaced it with a new one dishwasher and reinstalled the door. But Dh and I are very good at DIY. Just the reverse of

The only thing to worry about at the moment is keeping the decor door.

First things first, ring Hotpoint number printed on the machine, ask them what that error code is. It might be an easy fix you can do yourself.

The plug socket for a dishwasher is usually in the cupboard next to the dishwasher for integrated ones. You wouldn't know mine was unless you knew where to look which is basically at the back at the bottom of the cupboard.

Is a new one problematic because you physically can't get one into your ktichen? Is it a mobilty issue? ie you can't shove it or carry it? Just trying to help out.

Re the old one, dead easy to remove, take off the plinth underneath and then unscrew every screw at the front of the dishwasher, on the door and sideways into the cabinet and top into the worktop. The video explains how it goes in. Then the decor door should just unhook, but worry about that later, the dishwasher should be able to be pulled out, remember the hose is connected under the sink!

Thank you! I will empty all the cupboards and look!

Yes it a physical issue. We live in a house with kitchen on ground floor but it's a long thin hallway and neither myself nor DH can move heavy objects due to injuries. Am waiting for the osteopath to reopen!
