Albion Bath Co Tubby Tub

Hopefully we'll be moving to our new house soon and one of the rooms we're considering renovating first is the bathroom. It's a very small space and would benefit from the layout being rejigged.

We did this to our current bathroom, upgrading the bath to a claw foot slipper tub and changing the toilet to a high level cistern to give the illusion of more space. It was really successful and we want to do something similar in new house, but the dimensions seem a bit more quirky so wondering if a Tubby tub would look better visually in the space.

Has anyone got one? Love it? Hate it? Anything you wish you had known before buying?

TIA

Got a diagram or a link to this tub?

Hi, we have a small bathroom and put in a small freestanding bath and it looks great. The tubby tub looks fantastic - I’d go for it.

We looked at one, my DH loves a bath, and Fired Earth also sell something similar. The sides are quite high I tried climbing over the equivalent and found to difficult I am a little stiff due to riding injuries and as I rarely bath we were going have to put a shower over it, I would need a step and a hand rail as I got older so as we're in our 50's it just didn't seem like value for money so we decided that it wasn't a goer we've put the cost towards having a walk in wet room instead.
The one is Fired Earth was quite narrow (I not sure how this compared with the Albion Tubby Tub as we decided against it by the time I saw the one in Fired Earth) so not great if you're over weight (should add Im not Grin but it still looked very narrow to me)! So it just seems like a lot of money for something that I felt was going to be a very inconvenient. We have an en suit bathroom as well my DH says when we do that up we might put one in there as they are light and don't need ti floor to be reinforced.
I would have liked to look at one in the flesh the company is a long way from us, we would have to have broken the journey by staying overnight but as they are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination I guess if we'd pursued the idea we would have done this. I also found after lots of searching mixed reviews on line and not everyone is happy with the service the company offer. They are also sometimes available on Ebay I found about 4 at the time for significantly less so maybe with getting a second hand one and seeing if you like it before stumping up nearly 2K!
