Hi hope everyone is keeping safe and sane in the lockdown!!

I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of lighting maybe electricians or interior designers even?!

I have spotlights in my kitchen and my bathroom but they are SO SO hard to change the bulbs - I ask my neighbour to help do it and even he really struggles! They are the ones you have to just attempt to wiggle out then change the bulb (that part I can do) I'm wondering what the alternative options are..... I know you have to be careful about bathrooms especially because of the dampness and the steam but I am looking into the push and twist ones cause they're so much easier?!

If anyone has any knowledge/info it would be much appreciated!!
Attached are pics of the current ones I have so it would be advisable how easy it would be to change them over!

Thank you

I've a simpler method. Change the light units. Should be easy to do as they probably connect in just in the ceiling above so a straight swap. The new ones will be LEDs and you either have a sealed unit so will last years or if not the bulbs are a lot easier to change. Had both

Not expensive to buy either.

@MarieG10 thank you for your reply - do you mean just swap the whole thing for an easier push and twist unit for example? I am a single mum who is useless at this kind of thing and the bulbs seem to go regularly for some reason so I just want something I can actually do by myself easily enough without having to call family or neighbours round to help!!

It's a whole new unit but you would have to connect it to the wiring, it will probably be a junction box or wires directly wired into the unit.

This may be beyond what you are comfortable with though

We have the sealed unit LED spots in our kitchen. They're fire rated and were fitted from above on the landing. No bulbs to replace and much more energy efficient than the non LED bulbs.
