Ok, so this is a what if question really...I am buying an expensive TV that I intend to have wall mounted when electricians are able to enter homes for non essential jobs.
How would I cover myself if the worst happened and they happened to break it during installation? Normally I would arrange installation through the supplier of the product to avoid issues like that - so nobody can turn around and say 'oh it's a fault with the product, not the install etc' But can't do that this time.
Do I need to make sure they have some sort of insurance to cover this? And if, as per usual procedure, payment is only made after the work have I actually formed a contract with them until that happens - in which case if something went wrong would I actually even be able to hold them to account for it?
