Worcester Bosch combo low pressure

I think my area had an issue with low water pressure today as my mains shower (not connected to boiler) indicated low pressure. After a couple of hours things seem fine and shower is working so u assume problem has been resolved. When I looked at my Worcester Bosch green star 30i boiler (installed November 2019) the pressure gauge was in the low red area. I have repressured it using the blue switch at the bottom of the boiler so it is past the '1' and in the green area of the dial. At the moment the heating is not on as the timer is due to switch on later tonight. Will it just go on ok tonight or do I need to reset it? The screen now says 26 when usually it says 71. I'm not sure if that the central heating temperature or the hot water temperature? Thanks

The pressure on your heating system should not be related to mains water pressure assuming it is a sealed system. You might find that given it is a relatively new boiler that air has worked around from the initial fill (have you bled radiators?).

Keep an eye on the pressure gauge over the next days and weeks. If it keeps dropping you probably have a slight leak or the pressure needs increasing in the expansion vessel. I only know that as had that with several boilers that thought we had a leak but there is an expansion vessel either inside or outside the boiler that allows for expansion inside the system and if the pressure is low it expels water and therefore you get a low pressure reading. You will probably need a gas engineer unless it is an external vessel.

The temperature displayed will be the heating water. As MarieG10 said, that pressure should be at roughly 1 bar whilst cold all the time and rise to 1.5 bar when hot. What may be a good idea to do is check that your pressure relief valve is not leaking. If you look at the outside wall that the boiler is placed, there should be a copper pipe that comes out then kicks back into the wall. If this is leaking, it isn't urgent, but get a heating engineer out to check whether you have either a faulty prv or that a second expansion needs to be fitted on to your system.

Thank you both for your replies. I didn't do anything else to the boiler and it seems to be working fine. I've looked outside at the pipe and there's no leak. The number on the display panel has gone up and is now at 45. I will keep an eye on the pressure gauge. There are controls to change the temperature up and down. When I press the heating button 77C appears on the screen for a few seconds and when I press the water button 52C appears for a few seconds. I'm confused what the 45 *C temperature is that is always on the home screen (it was just 26 when I created this thread yesterday).

That is likely the current operating temp of the water in your system. The 77 and 52 temps will be what the temperatures that the hot water and heating water are set too. If that number doesn't get above 45, then there may be a problem with the boiler. As was said, it is likely a good idea to bleed and then repressurise your system. Otherwise, it shouldn't cause any problems and will work okay

I've never bled the system before. I will buy a radiator key and look up on YouTube how to do it. Thank you

Could I just ask what number should it be if 45 is not right?
