Multiple bathrooms

What plumbing solutions do those of you with multiple bathrooms have? I can’t see the point of having more than a couple of bathrooms if you can’t use all the showers at one time. Speaking to plumbers though, water pressure is an issue. What solutions do you have?

We've got three bathrooms and a downstairs loo. I'm not sure I understand why that is problematic? The showers all have pumps and are fine.

We have a mains pressure pump in the cellar.

We have three bathrooms and a downstairs loo. We have a pump for each of the two en-suite showers and they can go at the same time and work fine. One pump is in the loft and one in airing cupboard. The one in airing cupboard is noisy! There isn't a pump for the hand shower in the main bathroom and the pressure is pathetic, can't use it. Which is fine as don't need to, just use the bath for the kids and the pressure for that is fine even with other 2 showers going too.

Our plumber recommended a different boiler system which will mean we get mains pressure everywhere without the need for pumps. Not sure what it's called but we will be getting one when we redo bathrooms. We will have the boiler unit downstairs and then a tank in the airing cupboard. Maybe you could ask? I know it gets rid of the water storage cylinder in the loft. And means no noisy pumps especially if they aren't in the loft. Sorry I can't remember what it's called!

We have two showers, we don't run them simultaneously, but it's convenient to have two showers as there are a lot of pre and post shower activities that are annoying if you have to share the same space.

We have two on different systems - one pumped shower and one electric.

Those with main pressure tanks, how many work at one time?

For mains pressure hot water cylinders, you need to work out how many bathrooms you have, then size the cylinder accordingly. If you were looking to run two showers at a time, probably going with an 180 litre minimum cylinder would do the job. If you are looking at getting this done, any plumber/heating engineer will be able to size accordingly for your need. For houses with more than three bathrooms, you would probably need to install a second cylinder.

We have 2 electric showers. We still have a conventional boiler system with header tanks in the loft and a hot water cylinder

Can you have electric showers and a pressurised tank?
