Okay ex Londoners - where did you go?

We live in a very desirable part of london. But this whole situation has made me crave more green and a stronger community (to be honest, I’ve been craving more green for a long time!) and starting to wonder (again) if I should quit london.

So where did you go?

I want to live somewhere liberal, arty and cultured, but very community-minded and beautiful.

I would love to know where you went!

From a property POV, she has a 4 bedroom Victorian Terrace, small but perfect yard at the back for £200k. The prices in her road have steadily increased from c£145 4 years ago.

Olivers ok I get it, some people do gel with one partiular place. I was just arguing that there is life in other cities unlike in the middle of nowhere, but if you feel like 'the more the better' than only the busiest city would do.

I personally miss London's cultural choices (daily choices in all the fields of art) which don't exist anywhere else to that degree in the Uk, and I' d still live there for that if I could afford a good size place in a quieter area, so I could hop on the tube/bus anytime and go to the centre, for me that would be ideal. But I wouldn't compromise to the extent of having a tiny place. If you are thick-skinned to over-crowded places, or being in a smaller flat/house, then why not move back to london?

I am in London all be it at the very edge. But I do have the choice of 2 tube lines close by.

ah ok, is it still busy where you are? Something like Rickmansworth is much quieter than inner London - that's where I could live to combine the two.
