Anyone else been caught mid kitchen renovation?

Wasn't sure whether to post here or corona but I wondered if anyone else has been caught with all the old kitchen taken out and was about to order a new one? We were just waiting to get measurements perfect. Now we have nothing and Ikea and howdens both shut. I know it's a first world problem and there are lots of worse things happening but we do have no kitchen or washing machine, garden is a death trap and only our living room with DH trying to work from home plus me and a 2 year old. Just wondered if anyone has found somewhere they can get a kitchen or any solutions? Or just a moan if you're in the same position!

In exactly this position. New kitchen ripped out. Howdens delivered half the units last Tuesday which were fitted. Then closed the Wednesday. All fully paid.
Howdens have said there is nothing they can do atm.
Have had no choice but to move out. Partner is a key worker. So he is at mums but not enough room as I also wfh. I’m at my mums who is high risk so can’t come here. I’m struggling with the not seeing him and just wish they would complete the delivery

Our kitchen was finished a few days before lock down thank God. I was cooking for four in a tiny room using a foreman grill and a microwave with a convection oven for three weeks. I was at tipping point as it is. God only knows what that would have been like for another 6 monthsShock

We are renovating a house we just bought and are getting stuck with deliveries of flooring from b and q and kitchen from ikea. They aren’t able to tell us when they will deliver so v stressful. Will have a look at diy thanks! If anyone has any tips for flooring and carpeting they would be gratefully recieved! We used a small company for bathroom tiles who went above and beyond with v responsive and flexible customer service - mandarin stone. Victoria plum also delivered bathroom stuff. Good luck everyone!

So our builders have finally tracked down the missing delivery picked it up and began installing ... there is hope out there Grin

Yep. Been without a kitchen for a month.

Having a large renovation done and kitchen was removed the week before lockdown and our new kitchen supplier is shut. No end in sight and what was meant to be a temporary 1-2 week inconvenience is turning into a nightmare as I'm without a kitchen or a weather tight house for the foreseeable future

The timing couldn't have been any worse. I sympathise with anyone in a similar situation

If anyone is waiting on an Ikea kitchen - they have said that they plan to resume delivery on May 22nd. Not sure what that date is based on but maybe other companies will follow suit?
