Hi,

How is Earlsfield as an area to buy a flat? We are looking for something around primary schools and good connectivity to the city.
Don’t know much about it so any help would be great!
Thanks

Earlsfield is great, popular with families. Burntwood Road is quite busy though with traffic cutting through. I live in a nearby area and often drive down there on my way to/from places.

Earlsfield is lovely. have a look around Godley road (best choice imo) /openview/fieldview etc. These are nice and best value for money -the prices jump a lot as soon as you go one street further down from those towards the station.
Godley is a 7-8 min walk to station but also under 10 mins up to Wandsworth common in the other direction

It might also be worth you looking at Raynes Park, a couple of stops further on the train but that’s less than 10mins. It’s another popular area for families and you might get more space for your money.

Earlsfield used to be absolutely lovely. Many moons ago. It's where I was born and brought up and is a completely different place now.
Densely populated and crime rate isn't great.

Saying that you have great train links into
Central London and there are many more shops/ bars/ restaurants there than before. If you're looking at Burntwood Lane- top end is nicer than the bottom.

Depends what want really. It's not for me ( moved away ten or so years ago) but suits lots of others wanting to live in a busy area.

Good luck

Love Earlsfield. Do you mean Burntwood Lane?
It is a busy cut through so the roads off it are a better option.
Also good to check in previous years whether you’d be in catchment for Beatrix potter or Earlsfield primary. They’re better thought of than Smallwood I think .

Thank you for replies :) yeah, we would want to avoid busy roads.
We are first time buyers and planning a family (hopefully!). So thinking of areas with primary schools and less than an hours commute into Bank. Thoroughly confused about areas at the moment. Wimbledon is quite expensive so thinking of other areas now!

When I got my first job in London I lived in Earlsfield. By the time the trains get into Earlsfield in rush hour they are packed. I remember I had to let about four go by before I could get on and then someone pushed my down the carriage and I burst into tears. I'd never experienced anything like it. Two days later I was the one pushing people down the carriage :-)

Earlafield is amazing! We’ve brought up 2 young children here. It is SUCH an easy place to have a family - so much on your doorstep and great transport links. Please message if you want more info on areas. The schools are excellent. We are reluctantly moving out of London to be closer to family for various reasons and it has been a huge decision as we absolutely love it here.
