Should front door glass match the window next to it?

I have had a couple of different opinions and I am struggling to find an example on google to match what I am looking for.

Thinking of getting the attached style glass on my front door, but I have a window right next to it which is about half the length of the door, which I am thinking of getting obscure Cotswold style. I can't imagine if it will look disjointed or not being right next to each other.

Should it all match?

Not a case of "should" match, it is just a matter of personal taste. I think the glass you are thinking for the window would not overly clash with the door glass, I do agree it would be quite easy to get styles that do look disjointed and it might look a bit "wrong" (to slightly anal types like me). I think clear glass would be best in the window but as you want privacy, a frosted pane without a pattern would be another option.

I don’t think it needs to match no, but it should blend. Plenty of people have different glass in their door, in fact it’s more the norm than not.

Thanks

I went to one company and asked about different styles and he looked at me like I'd called his first born ugly. The other thinks what I want is best, but I just have trouble picturing some things, especially glass!

I would like to have a clear window too, but the angle of this particular window faces directly across the hallway, into the living room.

I'm not too keen on the plain frosted for windows, so thinking it will be either 'cotswold' or 'charcoal sticks'. The 2 styles other styles I really like for glass are both low privacy levels🙄 so these were the 2nd options

If you mean a vestibule frame looking into the hallway, I think it should match.

Front doors often have obscure glass so that passers-by or postmen will not be shocked by your attire, so if they can see you through the window, the same would apply.

Hi, no it's just a window, separate to the door and frame.

I am having them both obscured, but for the door I prefer the attached style however can't find obscure glass to match (not the square bits, but the rest of the glass panel)

Found an image which shows the glass a bit more

And one of these 2 for the window.

My preference for the obscure glass would actually be digital but it's level 3 privacy which I'm not sure would be enough
