Moving hot water tank

We are moving and the hot water tank is in the bathroom. We want to move it to the other side of the wall (to a bedroom that we are making a built in wardrobe in anyway). We are moving it to make room for a shower in the bathroom. Anyone have any ideas of costs?

Wouldn’t it be easier to get a condensing boiler and get rid of it altogether?

We got rid of ours completely and added so much room in one of the bedrooms. Got a combi instead.
Probably doesn't help you though!

We had this dilemma. Water tank in the bathroom which means the toilet is separate. We are having a combi boiler fitted as I type. Not cheap but worth it long term I think.

Just consider the type of shower you have as some need the hot water cylinder have you considered moving it to the loft?
We took ours out and fitted a combi its good as you don't have to wait for hot water but you cant have a power shower from it
I would get plumber in and ask

We moved ours into the loft and had a pressurised system installed. I don't know what brand we used but like a mega flow

I did this last year and put it in the attic. Don’t know cost was included in bathroom but cheaper to just go upwards.

If the tank doesn't need replacing and it is moving it to the other side of the wall, then you should be looking at a days work. I don't know the cost of workmen in your area, but you should be looking at anywhere from £230 to £450
