From those pictures the bricks look very uneven to me. I know some houses look worse than others and shining a light down can expose the wonkiness.

The pointing looks a bit messy too.

Yep think the light is highlighting it. No cracks or anything so presuming its holding up

That looks terrible. At first I wondered if it was meant to have some protruding as a pattern but isn't ..it is just awful.

I wouldn't buy that as I would wonder what other horrors are there, ie rubbish drains or foundations

InfiniteSheldon · 06/03/2020 06:39

That's shocking

EnglishRain · 06/03/2020 06:47

My cottage is early 1800s and has better brickwork and pointing than that Sad

Oh do I feel stupid. Daylight. It must have been light or shadows same wall honest

It would worry me that it could be bulging. No cracks but that could be because someone has re-pointed it or very soft mortar with no adhesion.

wowfudge · 06/03/2020 07:52

If you run your hands over it does it feel flat?

EnlightenedOwl · 06/03/2020 07:54

Hiya updated above . It was the lighting and shadows very different in daylight
